On January 31st Elizabeth Piazza, Ms. Liz to many, 65 of Signal Mountain died suddenly and unexpectedly. Born December 22, 1959, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Joseph and Mary Cobb Piazza, she joined a large and close family and grew to pursue a career as a professional counselor. Throughout her life she was the person people went to when they needed help, and she never hesitated to go out of her way to provide it. Her dedication to her work was only surpassed by the love and caring she had for her family. She leaves a legacy of love and dedication to her family. Her loss leaves an unfillable void in the lives of those left behind. Still, she would insist that anyone grieving her loss remember to take care of themselves and each other, and that by doing so they would be honoring her memory.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father Joseph, mother Mary, and sisters: Mary Jo and Linda. She is survived by her four siblings: Billy, Lesa, David, and Sam, four children: Kenneth, Mary, Theresa, and Joseph, and her four grandchildren: Avery, Penelope, Jack, and Diana, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Elizabeth are invited to Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN, from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12th to be together in remembrance of Elizabeth.
