She was a 1966 graduate of Hixson High School, and a nursing school graduate of Carson Newman College. Frieda was a nurse with Erlanger Health System and Memorial Hospital for many years.
She was a member of Hixson Baptist Church which she faithfully attended for many years.
Frieda was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Evelyn Waldon Gray.
She is survived by her sisters, Charlene (David) Whitt, Debra Gray, and Janet Kubizak; brother, Gary Gray; uncle, Sam (Dorothy) Waldon; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Dr. Steven Grainger officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at the North Chapel.
