Gloria Donnalene Gross Gouker, age 87, of Hixson, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021.
Gloria was born in McMinnville, Tennessee to the late Elmer and Nannie Cole. She was the last of six children to pass away. Gloria was a 1952 graduate of Central High School in Warren County. She and Buddy Gross moved to Chattanooga in 1955. Gloria hesitantly retired from DuPont after 40 years of service. After her retirement from DuPont she moved to Ruskin, Florida where she met her second husband Donald Gouker and was married for 17 years. Gloria then returned to Chattanooga in 2016. She was a longtime member of Hixson Church of Christ, member of Middle Valley Church of Christ and Hillsboro Church of Christ in Florida. Gloria enjoyed being a part of the DuPont Retirees, was an avid quilter and seamstress. She loved to travel and has traveled with Lois Clements to foreign countries to purchase antiques.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Donald.
Gloria is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Phil Bacon; very special family member, Dustin Boyd; niece, Carolyn Esposito and her daughters, Wendy Zepeda and Susan Daffron; niece, Connie Pemberton and nephew, Roger Campbell.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses for their love and care given to Gloria.
The family would like to visit and reminisce with friends from 3 to 8 pm on Thursday, September 23, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
