Dear Mr. Montgomery, Mary & Rudd,
Please accept my belated condolences for the loss of Mrs. Montgomery.  She was a lovely, sweet woman & I had the pleasure of seeing her earlier this year at Alexian. Like my sweet father Dick, she is at peace in heaven now, no more suffering, but still sorely missed. Thinking of you all.

So sorry to hear of Gloria's passing.  I knew her at Sealey Memorial Elementary School and Girl Scouts when we were young…and especially at Sealey where her mother was a teacher….
We bought furniture from her uncle, Jack Johnson, when we were first married…and remember little Susie and her brother..

When I first heard that Gloria had died, my heart sank. Oh no, Gloria! I wish I had been in better touch with my fellow sojourner, were my first thoughts. A few seconds later, I realized the amazing gift of Christ our Savior was now Gloria's reality: finally she had made it Home! No longer would she live in constant pain or struggle to live by faith when the ways of God just seemed too hard! What we still must believe by faith on this side of eternity, is the ground under Gloria's feet and the very air she breathes. Jack, Mary and Rudd, I pray as you go through these next days and months that when you long to speak with her, hear her voice, or hug her once more, the assurance that she is with her Savior will be a great comfort to you! And may it also spur all of us on who loved Gloria to be certain we ourselves meet the requirements to one day enter into the presence of a Holy and Perfect God (First John). When I am struggling with my own physical sufferings, I will remember Gloria's sweet and enduring spirit through many long trials and the sweetest of welcomes I know she received when her life on this earth was finished!

I was so very sorry to hear of Gloria's passing. Her struggle with a dreaded disease was long and painful, and she handled it with courage, strength and humility. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I can only imagine the pain all of you must be feeling. Gloria was, indeed, a truly wonderful person, with legions of friends and admirers. May God bless all of you in a very special way, on this sad occasion.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as I mourn Gloria's passing.  She was my best friend all thru high school and college, and as you know we shared so many great memories--cheerleaders, summer work in Wyoming, she was my maid of honor in my wedding and godmother to my daughter, Stacey.  She is a part of my life, and a part of me will never be the same.  Such a special and courageous person and an inspiration to me and her many friends. Jack:  I thought my entry Friday would have been posted.  Apparently not.  I am very saddened to read of Gloria's passing.  I think of her meeting you at Ft. Jackson & how happy you were to see her. Gloria has always been a very sweet and endearing person & I feel fortunate to have known her through you.  My sympathy is extended to you in this very trying time.

Tony and I were so saddened to learn of Gloria's passing.  My first thought was that she is with Betty and Chic (Mom and Dad) again--and maybe even neighbors!  How Gloria blessed my life with her constant care of my Mom.  She was a cheerful, faith-filled friend to our entire family--even in the midst of her constant pain. Nobody could've been better neighbors to us than you all were.  We will continue to lift each of you up in prayer in the days to come.

Jack, I was saddened to read of Gloria's passing in the Tallahassee Democrat this morning.  She was a very courageous woman whose difficult life these past years was eased by your care and love.  I still remember Gloria as May Queen from our high school days and how beautiful and kind she was. Gloria was one of a kind, special. She was an exceptional volunteer, along with her husband Jack, making calls to arrange for Sunday services in the Health Care Center at Alexian. She and Jack would then come to the 7th floor early getting things prepared for the residents. Her mother Evelyn was a doll as well and Gloria was the most faithful daughter visiting daily and making sure her mother had everything she needed. I thank God for her beauty inside and out and her willingness to serve him all the days of her life. Love to Jack and her family as they mourn her loss and celebrate her life. Debby
