Gordon Lee Manis, Sr., 86, of Harrison died Sunday, May 1, 2022. He was born February 18, 1936 in Daisy, Tennessee to the late Pete and Jessie Manis. He worked as an engineer with US Pipe and Combustion Engineering and with General Electric inspecting nuclear plants.
He was a 1954 graduate of Soddy Daisy High School and attended UTC. He was a US Army veteran serving in the 101st Airborne.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Shirley Manis, son, Gordon Lee Manis, Jr., sister, Shirley Lovelady, several nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 Saturday, May 7 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Ballinger and Pastor Don Glen officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-1 Saturday.
