Jeffery Wade Woodson, 65, of Ooltewah went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 9, 2024. He was born on May 20, 1958 to Jerry and Lena Woodson and raised in Charlottesville, VA. Jeff graduated from Tennessee Temple High School in 1977 and received his Engineering Degree from Chattanooga State. He then went on to a long career with the Electric Power Board (EPB), spanning 35 years up to his retirement. He was an active member of Lakewood Baptist Church where he served in many different capacities, including leading the Bible Institute studies, and he was integral in missions work around the world.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Woodson.
Left behind to cherish Jeff’s memory are his mother, Lena; his brother, Terry (Scheloe) Woodson; nieces, Victoria (Jake) Willcutt, Abbie (Alex Harrison) Woodson; great-nephew, Jack Willcutt; and his cherished Lakewood Baptist Church family.
A Celebration of Jeff’s Life will be held at Lakewood Baptist Church on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 7:00 pm with Pastor Ronnie Gilbert officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 5:00 pm. He will be laid to rest alongside his father in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jeff’s memory to Lakewood Baptist Church Missions Fund, 6626 Hunter Rd, Harrison, TN 37341.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
