Joyce Jay Powell, 74, of Hixson passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, daughter of the late John Theodore and Eva Marie Beamer Repine. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Repine and a sister, Janice Hoefelmeyer.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Virgil F. Powell; a son, Mark E. (Stacy) Powell of Soddy Daisy; a granddaughter, Jessica Powell of Soddy Daisy; brother, David Repine of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 17, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Clair Travis officiating. Burial will be at Chattanooga Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 P.M. Monday, August 16, at the funeral home.
