Kenneth was born in Chattanooga, TN on August 30, 1961 to Glenda Davis Shropshire and G. King Shropshire. Kenneth was 3 years old when his mother died and 13 when his father died. He was raised by his maternal grandmother, Wilhelmina Kilgore and step-grandfather, John Kilgore.
Kenneth worked for a time on oil rigs in Oklahoma before becoming disabled. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandmother, step-grandfather and paternal grandparents, Icy Mae Truett Shropshire and John B. Shropshire; and his uncle John A. Shropshire.
Kenneth was a very special nephew to his loving aunt, Brenda (Bill) Rock. He is also survived by his uncle, Mickey (Kathy) Kilgore; aunt, Sue Rapp and many cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm on Monday, September 9, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 3 pm on Monday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Reverend Bill Harvey officiating.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN.
