It is with a heavy heart and many tears to inform you that we have lost someone very near and dear to us. L. Kevin Witzel was a dedicated nurse, friend, son, and husband. Kevin passed away on January 27, 2025.
He was the son of Larry Witzel and Ingrid Witzel. Kevin was a graduate of Red Bank High School, and a graduate with highest honors from the Chattanooga State Nursing Program. He was a lion and a lamb. Kevin was a man of his word, a man of faith, and he was loved and respected by all who knew him. Kevin made the choice to be a donor and save others.
He was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling, and loved to attend concerts, especially The Eagles. Kevin was a huge Atlanta Braves and Tennessee Vols fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents Ray and Roe Ellen Shadwick, and great grandparents Ernest and Sally Brock.
Kevin is survived by Pam Hopkins Witzel, and a host of cousins.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday January 29, 2025, at 3:00 PM in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Dr. David Harr officiating.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Humane Educational Society Chattanooga, www.heschatt.org or First Centenary United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
