

He was born in Rhea County, the son of the late Frank and Sarah Clark. Lester was a veteran of the U. S. Army and retired from Chattanooga Glass Company with 40 years of service. Lester was a loving and humble, Father and Husband. He was a Christian of the Baptist faith and served as a Deacon for many years at East Chattanooga Baptist Church. Lester loved camping, fishing, hunting, nature and riding his Antique Bicycle.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Elaine Josephine an infant and Theresa Clark; sister, Irene Monroe; brother, Luke Clark.
Lester is survived by his wife of 57years, Helen Crisp Clark and a sister, Etta Norton of Spring City.
The family wants to thank his dear friends, Marvin Hixson and Greg Sessoms, who gave their time, love and support during his sickness with Alzheimer’s.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the North Chapel.
Services for Lester will follow at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the North Chapel with Rev. Jerry Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Crisp, Tommy Oliver, Terry Oliver, Camus Crisp, Marvin Hixson and Greg Sessoms.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lester’s name to Hospice of Chattanooga, P. O. Box 19269, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
