“Sis” Hixson Jackson passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at her residence in Hixson, TN. She was born in Hixson and was a graduate of Soddy Daisy High School where she was played basketball, and was a majorette as well as being active in band and 4H Club. Sis lived in Hixson for over 40 years and was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a retired medical administrator for Northpark OB/GYN. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by by her parents, Pleasant Alexander Hixson Sr. and Elena Cranfield Hixson, brother, Pleasant Alexander Hixson, Jr., and husband, Kenneth Wayne Jackson. Survivors include her daughter, Vonda (Tom) Brazier; daughter, Debbie (Marty) Smith; granddaughter, Alixandria (Trystan) Drummond; grandson, Caleb Smith; sister, Barbara Jennings; brothers, Jimmy and Lloyd Hixson; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 17th from 4 to 8 PM and Wednesday May 18th from 1 to 2 PM at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
