She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clemons to whom she was married for 64 years; her parents, Laura and John Humble and a sister, Loraine Brock, all of Signal Mountain.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Ann (Leonard) Hall of Signal Mountain; three grandchildren, Jimmy Hall, Kathy (Jeff) Hawkins and Angie Hall; great grandsons, Andrew, Matthew and Devin Hawkins; her sisters, Dot Mustin, Lola (Ed) Jones of Chattanooga, Jean (John) Nusbaum of Indiana; brothers, Ray Humble of Signal Mountain, Johnny (Linda) Humble of Indiana and Gary (Patsy) Humble of Alabama; many nieces, nephews and their families.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday, March 11, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, March 12, at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dean Waters and Reverend J.N. Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
