She was born in Rock Bridge County, Virginia and has been a resident of the area since 1952. Maybelle was a member of Delashmitt Road Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Juanita Mooneyham; daughter, Maybelle Elizabeth Brooks; great grandson, Justin Fox; brothers, Medford, Haywood and Clarence Mooneyham; sisters, Valma Knick and Beatrice Farrar.
Maybelle is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Charles Leroy; daughters, Darlene Britton and Bonnie Green (Don); sons, Charles (Suki) and Gary (Brenda); sister, Sybil Brooks; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 pm on Friday and 10 to 11 am on Saturday at the North Chapel.
Services for Maybelle will be held at 11 am on Saturday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ronnie Smith and Rev. Walter Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
