Melinda LaMonica

Melinda LaMonica, age 60, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 3 , 2014

Affectionately known as Marty to her husband of 38 years and as Mimi to her children and grandchildren, Melinda was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She derived her greatest pleasure in life from her family. She considered it an honor and a privilege to homeschool her children. She enjoyed playing the guitar and was a very talented singer. Whenever the opportunity presented itself, she was always ready to serve in church worship services or in children’s ministries.

Melinda was preceded in death her parents Lorenzo and Carmen Martinez

Melinda is survived by her husband Frank LaMonica of Hixson, TN; son Bud (Jennifer) LaMonica of Hixson, TN; daughters Carmen LaMonica of Soddy Daisy, TN, Angela (Benjamin) Rouch of Bloomington IN; Melinda LaMonica and Allison LaMonica both of Hixson, TN; four grandchildren Izabelle LaMonica, Samuel LaMonica, Luke LaMonica and Pedro Dior; brother Lawrence Martinez of Galveston, TX and sister Linda Hunt of Houston, TX.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 10, 2014 from 4- 8 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel and on Saturday from 12-2:30pm

Funeral service for Melinda will be conducted at 2: 30 on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mark Holloway officiating

Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens
