NORINE CHAUNCEY JACKSON left her earthly home at The Terrace on Monday, August 24, 2020. She was born June 1, 1928, to Horace W. Chauncey and Elizabeth Yother Chauncey in Soddy, Tennessee. She attended Red Bank schools, graduated from Kirkman Technical High School, and completed her education at McKenzie Business School. She worked at Railway Express for fifteen years, then at TVA for ten-plus years until retirement.
She accepted Christ as her Savior at age fifteen and was baptized at White Oak Baptist Church. She played piano and was active in several churches over the years but her health prevented current attendance.
Norine was a happy, full-of-life person who kept everyone around her in a good mood with her quick wit and wonderful attitude. She will always be remembered for her love of family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, John W. Jackson, and her sister, Dorothy Duff, and her parents. She is survived by her brother, Doyle Chauncey, and two sisters, Audrey Conner and Imogene Kinser, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be private(family and close friends) at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
