Norma Jean Oliveri, 72, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 following an extended illness. Norma has been a Jacksonville resident since 1954 and married her loving husband in 1957. She worked for 35+ years for State Farm Insurance Company and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Blanding Blvd., Baptist Church and loved to travel, camping, cruises, and just getting out of the house. She was loved by all with smiles and friendship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Z. and Essie Gregory, formerly of Jacksonville. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph A. Oliveri, Sr.; son, Joseph, Jr. (Pamela) of Spring Hill, TN; daughter, Lisa Gillespie of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, James Oliveri (Heather), Erin Oliveri, Lindsay Gillespie, and Jodi Matzke; two great grandsons, James Jr. and Lucas Oliveri.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. Family and friends will gather from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, August 22, 2011 at the funeral home chapel.
She will be laid to rest next to her parents at a graveside services to be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
