His family moved to Franklinton in 1944 and he attended schools at Holy Family, eventually graduating from Central High School.
Ray was a lifelong fisherman and golfer. He was a carpenter by trade, a proud United States Marine and was stationed in Yokosuka Japan circa 1953-56.
He was a long time supervisor for Henry Justus Construction Inc. along with his brother Tom, he owned Abbeyhills Construction. He eventually worked with his two sons for many years in Florida.
Preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, son Patrick Raymond, Mother of his children and best friend Joan Finneran
He is survived by a daughter Anne B. Siemer and son Michael J. Siemer (Maria), Grandson Michael Patrick, Granddaughter Mary (Ben) House, and great grandsons; Joash, Samuel, Peter, Malachi.
Viewing will be held on Friday May 24, 2024 at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel from 11 am until 12 (noon). The Funeral will be held at National Cemetery at 12:30 pm
