Robert "Bobby" Martin Cabe

Bobby was a devoted husband of 55 years, to his beautiful bride, Linda Cabe. He was an amazing father, who showed constant love to his three sons, Marty(Evelyn), Michael(Melissa), and Mark(Melissa) Cabe. His face would light up at the mention of his grandchildren, Alexis Lewis(Coy), Mason, Addison, Luke, and Arayah Cabe. This past April he fell instantly in love with his great grandson, Ledger Lewis. He also enjoyed time well spent with other loved ones in the family, Gavin Morelle and Tanner Windam.

He was born in Lafayette Georgia and had fond memories of growing up there and he always looked forward to yearly reunions with his family. He especially looked forward to catching up with his niece Jan Routledge. During his lifetime, he enjoyed hunting, camping and spending time with his family and friends. Bobby also, saw it as an honor to serve his country in the U.S. Army before moving on to start his career. He retired from DuPont and was known as an avid golfer on the company golf team. After retiring he continued to have monthly luncheons with his other DuPont retirees.

Bobby was a great man, who was known by his family and friends to be a man of faith who was always constant, present, strong, and loving.

He was preceded in death by his mother Martina Belle Cabe, father Ralph Wilbur Cabe, brothers Eston, Willard, and Robert Brown. As well as, sisters Lillie Hendrix, Jenny Lou Chamblee, Willie Mae Dixson and special niece, Mary Ellen Chapman.

Visitation Wednesday, December 20th from 4-8 PM and Thursday, December 21st from 11AM to 12PM at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel in Hixson with service immediately after. Interment with military honors will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
