SM1, Robert Franklin Kriens, age 87, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013Robert passed away to be with his wife Onedia “Cup Cake” Kriens, his beloved son Ronald Mark Neal, mother Lucille Kriens and father Benjamen Franklin Kriens.
Robert retired from the U.S. Navy in 1971 as a SM1. He was very proud of his Navy Career and was a military man until the very end. Robert was a beloved husband, son, dad, grandpa and great grandpa.
Much can be said for the love between a dad and his son. The unbreakable bond like no other, with all of the incrediable adventures, the once in a lifetime travels and holding each other up through life’s heartaches. Just knowing that you can look into those eyes and seeing that ever lasting love. This is the love shared between Sonny and his dad “Bob”.
Robert is survived by his sons Sonny Neal of GA . Johnnie and Lynn Neal of Tenn. Robert Neal and family of OR, daughter Katherine and her husband Tracy Vankleeck along with their daughter Natalie fox of VA. Grandson (Best Frends) John Neal. And many more grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14 at the Chattanooga Nation Cemetery
Burial will be at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
