Robert J. “Jerry” “Bob” Myers, 84, of Chattanooga died Friday, February 16, 2018. He was born November 9, 1933 in Elizabethton, Tennessee to the late James and Grace Myers. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Myers Boudrie Matherley and a sister, Jackie Rader. He was a member of Hixson First Baptist Church, The Volunteer Masonic Lodge and the Asbestos Workers Local #46. He worked at Breeding Insulation Company for many years before opening his own company, R. Jerry Myers Company. He also worked for Walmart and owned Crafts-n-things.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Faye Myers; children, Greg Myers, Richard (Becky) Myers, and Nancy (Victor) DeBolt; sister, Marjorie Wallisch; grandchildren, Marcus (Amber) DeBolt, Katelyn (Kris) Wysong, and Jessica (Patrick) Amans; three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 Tuesday, February 20 in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Shannon officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3 Tuesday.
