Stan Hales, 63, of Harrison, passed away on October 31, 2022. He was loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
He was employed by the Chattanooga Fire Department as a firefighter for 28 years. He loved his job and said many times he never minded going to work.
Stan had a great passion for camping, fishing, and being with his grandchildren at their sports events and other activities.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Hales.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol Hales; daughters, Shannon (Ryan) Roark and Kristin (Seth) Roberts; as well as his mother, Jean Hales; sister, Linda (Al) Russell; and brother, Steve (Linda) Hales. Stan also leaves behind grandchildren Rylee and Chloe Roark; Berkley, Keegan and Kinsley Roberts. He had an aunt and uncle, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family will welcome friends at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, 5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343 on Wednesday, November 9 from 4-8 pm. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, November 10 at 11 am at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
