Mr. Stephen Paul Benson

Mr. Benson was a Southern Baptist and has attended several local churches for the past 27 years. He was a former employee of UNUM, but has been on disability for the past six years. Many have been praying for his health for several years. The family would like to thank all their friends who have lifted him up before the Lord for so long. He is no longer in pain and today is walking with his King!

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Derby and Goldie Benson of Maryville and Jule and Helen Walker of Corpus Christi, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Krafft Benson, and son, Drew Benson of Hixson; his parents, Paul and Tammy Benson of Chattanooga; a brother Matthew (Stacey) Benson of Birmingham, AL and a sister, Brooke (Nathan) Benson Carico of Katy, TX; precious nieces and nephews, Landon, Ryan, Laura, and Evan Benson of Birmingham; Tristan, Ravyn, Tennyson, and Autumn Carico of Katy. He is also survived by two uncles and their families, Joe and Don Benson, Camilla Benson, Travis and Paige Benson, Marshall and Brandi Benson, all of Maryville; a cousin, Linda Hill of Dell City, Oklahoma; two great aunts Ruth Bonetsky and Juanita Burns of Rockwood and one great uncle Joe Holloway of Rockwood.

The family will receive friends at Bayside Baptist Church from 1 PM to 3 PM on Sunday, August 21st with a memorial Service following at 3 PM. There will be a private, family interment in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
