Ms. Long was born October 6, 1936, in Wilmington Delaware. Susan is a graduate of Alexis I du Pont High School, Wilmington DE. and Chambersburg College, Chambersburg PA. She was docent member of the Wilmington Junior League and was a PEO member. Her interests included collecting fine antiques, interior decorating and dancing. Susan had a passion for caring for animals.
Susan was preceded in death by her son, George R. Seidel, III.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa K. Norcia and Susan D. Houston; her five grandchildren Brandon Dodd, Justin Norcia, George R. Seidel IV, Samantha and Joseph Houston; and her brother, John Rogers Long.
There will be no visitation or services for Ms. Long.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to McKamey Animal Care and adoption Center, 4500 N. Access Road, Chattanooga, TN 37415.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
