Susie was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with 21 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Ed Maddux, Sr.; two brothers, George and Edgar Earl Maddux, II.
Susie is survived by a daughter, Melanie (Michael) Thompson; granddaughter, Jessica Alhakim; sisters, Deborah (Frank) Clardy and Martha (Lamar) Smith; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM on Tuesday at the North Chapel.
Graveside services for Susie will follow at 1 PM on Tuesday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Dewayne Renfro officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susie’s name to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.
