Mr. T Mack Edwards

T.Mack Edwards 76, of Harrison, Tennessee went to be with Jesus November 10, 2015. After surgery and a short illness Mack passed peacefully into Heaven with his loving family by his side. He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church.

Mack was preceded in death by his parents T.M. Edwards and Minnie Ruth McDaniel Edwards of Chattanooga. He is a descendent of the Cook, McDaniel and Edwards families of Peavine and Rock Springs area of Catoosa and Walker County Georgia, who were some of the founding families of the area.

T.Mack is survived by his wife of almost 51 years, Patty J. Edwards, sons Thomas Mack Edwards III and Christopher “Chris” Lee Edwards Sr. and his wife Kelli Rominger Edwards, Granddaughter Kristen Kate Edwards and Grandson Christopher Lee Edwards Jr.

A 1958 graduate of Central High School, Mack attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He was retired from TVA Electrical Engineer and Design Branch after 34 years. After retiring, he worked for Sargent & Lundy and Mesa. Mack served his country in the National Guard.

Mack held membership and served as an officer in the Chattanooga Boating Club. He was an associate member of the Chattanooga Engineer Club. Mack was commander of the Chattanooga Power Squadron 1979. As a member, he was published in the Ensign, “How to Document Your Vessel.” Mack designed the pennant the Chattanooga Power Squadron flies. While a member of the Highland Sportsman Club, Mack held office and enjoyed the friendship of other avid hunters and fishermen.

Mack enjoyed all the time he spent with family and friends whether close to home, out west hunting, on the ocean fishing or just relaxing. Mack and Patty were a loving couple and always together. The loss of Mack is a great burden to her and his family, but what a homecoming in Heaven.

I love you Mack.

The family will receive friends 1 to 3 Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be conducted at 3 pm on Sunday in the funeral home chapel

Interment will be private Monday November 16, 2015.
