Jacksonville, North Carolina, and raised in Birmingham, Alabama.
Theodore attended Jefferson State Community College, earning an Associate’s Degree in
Ultrasonic Technology, and later continued his education at Auburn University. In 2017, he
relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee, and in 2023, he settled in Ringgold, Georgia.
He was employed with Gestamp for many years, both in Alabama and Chattanooga. Theodore
was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church. He had a deep love for jazz music, computers, and
classic cars, and he played the trombone during his high school years.
He is survived by his loving parents, Tim and Pebbles Tolvin, and his grandmother, Rebecca
Tolvin. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Trenton Tolvin; grandfather, Olester
Anderson; grandmother, Brenda Johnson; uncle, Lester Anderson; great-grandmother, Eura Bell
Johnson; and his beloved aunt, Ida Stewart.
He is also survived by his uncle and aunts, Victor Tolvin, Earnestine Mitchell, Melissa
Funderburke, and Teresa Lee; cousins, Ashley Frye, Joshua Mitchell, Rodney Funderburke Jr.,
and Devontae Funderburke; along with many other dear family members, friends, and coworkers who will cherish his memory.
Visitation only will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14th, at the North Chapel
of Chattanooga Funeral Home in Hixson, Tennessee.
Refreshments will be served in the North Chapel's kitchen.
