He was preceded in death by parents, Paul and Mae Bowman, his spouse, Alma Gann Bowman, and a nephew, David C. Gann.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret Bowman and nieces: Tonya Wilson Burleigh, Pam Wilson, and Carol Gann Marcum.
Tom "Tink" Bowman was a graduate of the University of Georgia, played minor league baseball in the Cleveland Indians organization, and retired from the Brock Candy Company where he served as a vice president, treasurer.
There will be a private graveside service. A memorial service will be held on a date to be determined. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Mr. Bowman may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Greater Chattanooga or the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
