Vernon D. Vendur, 83, of Murfreesboro formerly of Chattanooga died Tuesday, September 29, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Vendur and Viola Estill. Mr. Vendur was a US Airforce veteran serving in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church. He was retired from M G Industries with over 30 years of service.
Survivors include his daughter, Sherry (Chris) Donovan; son, Alan (Niki) Vendur; grandchildren, Ainsley Vendur and Kelsey Vendur; brother, Tommy Lee; sister, Shirley Logan; nephews, Teddy Keller, Jeff Keller, and Michael Keller; mother of his children, Dorothy Vendur.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 am Monday, October 5, in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-6 Sunday.
