

Bill was born and raised in Chattanooga. He was a 1959 graduate of Central High School and attended Virginia Tech. Bill retired from Mueller Company with over 45 years of service, he served as President of the Steelworkers Local Union and was a member of the Chattanooga Area Labor Council. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, served as a Communion Assistant and Food Vendor Clerk. Bill was a member of Brainerd Masonic Lodge and the Alhambra Shrine Temple. He was an avid bird watcher and member of the Riverwalk Bird Watchers. Bill cherished family, friends, church, nature and travel. He touched so many lives in his years and brought those around him great joy. He and Zelma are proud to have traveled 49 of 50 states during his years of retirement. Their marriage is one of love, laughter, friendship and eternity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ruby Pack; daughter, Angela Beth Pack and brother, Thomas Pack, Jr.
Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Zelma Moss Pack; children Alyson Pack Brown and husband Herschel, Charles Pack and wife Andrea, and Gregg Shiles Pack; granddaughters, Katie and Claire Brown; cousins, W. T. Allen, Ron Pack, Mary Rose Rogers and Dee Ann McDaniel.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 pm on Sunday, April 24, and 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Monday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5001 Hixson Pike, and Hixson, TN 37343.
Services for Bill will follow at 12:30 pm on Monday at the church with Pastor Chris Hansen and Pastor Stan Combs officiating.
Because of Bill’s love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to the Pet Placement Center, 5975 Dayton Blvd., Chattanooga, TN 37415 or to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
