Zane Jewell

Zane was a member of Spivey Memorial United Methodist Church. He is a Veteran of the Korea War and served in the United Sates Marine Corps, he received the Purple Heart, good conduct medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service medal, United Nations Service medal, President Unit Medal, Commendation Ribbon, USMC Rifle Badge Expert Medal, Insignias Star, and Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation . Zane retired from the United States Postal Service.

Zane was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Frank Jewell and mother Bess Lee Jewell; first wife Helen Jewell; sister Christine Newkirk

Zane is survived by his wife Betty Louise Jewell of Dayton, TN ; sisters Margaret ( Fred) Gibson and Linda Hill of Chattanooga; stepdaughters Dianna Roocks , Johnnie Grant and Marilyn Newell;

several nieces and nephews
