She was born as the second child of Ubert Hughes and Mattie Carter in the City of Kentwood, Parish of Tangipahoa in the State of Louisiana.
Agnes is predeceased by her parents, her sister, Edna Hughes Sibley, and her husband, William Garrison (Gary) Mundkowsky.
She is survived by her three children: Rodger Moran (Deann) of Wichita, Kansas; Connie Mack Moran (Diane) of Hitchcock, Texas; and Patti Noone of Blue Springs, Missouri; three granddaughters, their husbands, and six great-grandchildren, and one nephew, Jimmy Sibley of San Antonio, Texas.
In Agnes' earlier career, she was employed in the Art Department with Boeing Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas. She moved to Houston, Texas in the 1970's and began a new and very successful career in the Collection Department at First City Bank.
She married Gary Mundkowsky, and they lived in South Houston until they retired. On Mother's Day of 1989, her son, Mack, invited her to church in La Marque, Texas. She and Gary found so much Christian Love at the church that they moved to La Marque. They made many lasting friendships in their new hometown. She was baptized in her renewed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 67 years old.
Agnes spent her last being loved and cared for by the residents and employees at Elmcroft Senior Living in Texas City, Texas.
She will be remembered for her kindness of giving to others, her cooking and baking skills and her enjoyment of knitting and many other hobbies.
Graveside services will be held at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2:30pm.
