It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Albert Troy Lively, Jr. of Pearland, TX. Following a long and courageous battle with kidney disease, Troy passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at the age of 72.
Troy was born on November 1st, 1952 in Houston, Texas, to Albert T. Lively and Frances Lively. He grew up in Garden Villas Subdivision in Southeast Houston, graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School in 1970, and went on to attend Texas A & M University. He cherished the many wonderful, lifelong friends that he met along the way.
Troy’s professional career spanned multiple industries. The majority of his working years were spent in inside Sales at Acme Architectural Hardware. He was close to many of his associates at ACME and considered them to be family. Troy took great satisfaction in sharing his special brand of humor with those around him.
Prior to his illnesses Troy was a member of South Main Baptist church in Pasadena, Texas. He was actively involved in building upkeep, enjoyed the fellowship of his Sunday school class, and thrived in an environment that allowed his faith to grow.
Troy enjoyed spending time with his family. When it came to gathering to share a meal with his loved ones, no occasion was too small. Troy loved being outdoors and was especially fond of going on fishing trips with his sons and his sister. He found happiness working on cars and small engines, tinkering, watching movies, and spoiling his furry companion, Buddy, who seldom left his side.
Troy is survived by his loving wife, Dee, son Ethan Lively and wife Ginny, son Steven Lively and wife Cameron, and three grandchildren, Brenham, Wyatt and Abilene. Troy is also survived by his dear Sister, Annelle Graham and husband Scott, and several loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert T. Lively and Frances Lively.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Baywood Crossing Rehabilitation and Magnolia Hospice Care for the care and compassion they showed to Troy and his family in their time of need.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10th, 2025 at 12:00pm in the Grand Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, with burial to follow. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 9th, from 5pm-8pm, at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Troy’s honor to the American Kidney Fund.
