

She was born on September 11, 1933 in Ventura, California to William Palomera and Celia Benitez Frescas Pettit. Her husband Esequiel Loera preceded her in death. Her aforementioned parents and her siblings, Anita Magallanes, William Pettit, Jr., Angela Enriquez, Guadalupe Pettit and Josephine Lydia Pettit, also preceded her in death. Amada is survived by her loving and devoted children, Juan Jose Contreras, Maria Louisa Contreras, Ramona Sandoval, Yolanda Santos, Virginia Kennedy and her husband Gordon, Consuelo Saucedo and her husband Juan and Daniel Loera and his spouse Ronald Lambert; her grandchildren, Juan Jose Contreras, Jr., Claudia Contreras, Celia Fernandez, Cathy Contreras, Donaji Augilar, Leonardo Aguilar, Jacaranda Loya, Karinna Salinas, Diane Gramajo, Samantha Skiba, Elias Garcia, Mauricio Garcia, Jessica Rios, Robert Olvera, Cassy Nordness, Philip Prince, Anthony Saucedo and Natalie Saucedo; her siblings, Delfina Sanchez, John Pettit, Aurora Irene Pettit and Robert Pettit and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Amada worked at Maxwell House for over 26 years until her retirement and was a parishioner at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 5-9 PM with the Vigil and Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Grand Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
