Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, Benito and Rosa Munguia, her four brothers, Jose Munguia, Benito Munguia, Elias Munguia, Jessie Munguia. and two sisters, Macey Chacon and Julia Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Yolanda Saucedo and husband Robert Saucedo, granddaughter Danielle Marie Saucedo, grandson Jonathan Robert Saucedo, her two sisters, Mary Villareal and Josephine Garcia, and countless nieces and nephews.
She loved her dogs Hercules and Fabio, who never left her side. She resided in Houston for over 60 years and made many friends with her kind and loving ways.
A visitation for Amelia will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
