Ann was a caring mother, sister, wife and nana, a dedicated nurse, and loved her antique roses. She was a survivor of the Santo Tomas Internment Camp in Manila from 1942-1945 and wrote a book about her family experience there.
Ann is survived by her sister Twee Mueller, husband Robert Hillegas, Jr., and children Scott, Robin, Chris, and Steve, daughters-in-law Kathy Donellan and Veronica Kenkel, stepson Robert Hillegas, III, and four grandchildren Griffin, Adrien, William and Harrison.
A Memorial mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in the sanctuary of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
