Annie was born on November 3, 1922 to Cyril and Annie (Bartos) Sprta. She grew up in East Bernard, Texas, where she lived until moving to Houston. Annie met her husband, Joe Krajca, in Houston, and they married on September 15, 1947. They were married for 65 years until his death in 2012. They resided in Houston, along with their two children, Doris and Raymond, until they moved to Pearland, Texas in 1974. Annie and Joe were members of St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Pearland. She also was a member of the Catholic Daughters at St. Helen’s. Annie and Joe also enjoyed working at the St. Helen’s annual bazaar every year.
Annie loved crafting, and enjoyed her hobbies with her sister-in-law, Joanne Sprta. The two couples traveled on weekends to festivals and craft fairs. Annie was also a great cook, bringing her famous cream cheese rolls to every family gathering. She enjoyed spending time with her family, which included seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband , Joe, her parents, Cyril and Annie Sprta, brothers Joe, Frank, and Ernest Sprta, sisters Agnes Novak and Frances Pilcik. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Tom Bielamowicz of Friendswood, Texas, and son Raymond, also of Friendswood, her brother Rudolph Sprta of El Campo, Texas, along with her seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Annie was also blessed to have a wonderful and loving caregiver, Lynn Oliver, for the past three years. Lynn has provided support not only to Annie, but to the entire family, during these years of transition and declining health.
Annie will be missed, but she is now with Joe and her family in peace.
