Anthony Patrick (Pat) Dibello, 73, of Houston, TX, passed away in the arms of his loving children on February 14, 2021. Pat was the oldest of four children born to Anthony and Edith Dibello on September 7, 1947, in Houston, TX.
While in high school, his favorite pastimes included driving his 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air and going to Garner State Park during the summertime. Pat graduated from Austin High School in 1967 and was then drafted by the United States Army where he served two years in Vietnam as an office clerk. After returning home, Pat joined the Houston Fire Department and spent 30 years as a firefighter, the majority of which he worked as a chauffeur for the pumper and ladder truck. While in the fire department, he obtained his associates degree at Houston Community College. In addition, Pat managed a lawn mowing business for many years and maintained the lawns of several elderly clients. He also maintained the lawn and grounds at Mt. Carmel High School for several years, where his children attended school. Pat enjoyed history, especially the history of various wars, and would spend hours watching the history channel. He was fascinated with old war planes and battle ships and loved classic cars and motorcycles. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, attending the air show and the Houston Autorama, and going to history and flight museums. Pat was known for his love of old rock 'n roll, especially Elvis. His children remember him best as a confidant and friend who was always a phone call away if they needed his advice or assistance. He was a loving father and will be forever missed by all who knew him.
Pat is survived by his three children, Robert Dibello, Lacey Dibello and Lindsey Dibello, his father, Anthony Dibello, brother, Sam Dibello and his wife, Ann; sister, Jenise Cemino and her husband, Phillip; brother, Rick Dibello and his wife, Karen. He is also survived by his nieces, Shelley Cramer, Toni Cochran, Michelle Messer, Stephanie Cemino, Alisha Rosenthal, Kinzy Kewley, Andrea Havard, Kendra Burnett, nephew, Collin Judice, as well as his four grandchildren, Brayden Dibello, Chase Register, Gracie Register, and Cason Dibello. Pat was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Smalley Dibello.

A viewing and mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church

Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at
Forest Park Cemetery
