

She was born October 1, 1922 in Cerreto Di Alpi, Italy, the fifth child of Giuseppe and Matilde (Tronconi) Farina. As a young child she helped her dad tend goats in the hills. She often told stories only a survivor of war could tell, recalling how the American soldiers would roll through town and the villagers would go out a cheer them on.
In 1949 Armandina met a young American Merchant Marine, William Calvin Morrison. Their romance sparked and they soon were wed. The Lord blessed them with 62 years of marriage before calling WC home in March 2012.
She loved caring for children and did so in their home for many years. You also never left hungry. Her specialty dishes included Spaghetti and Pizza and of course a little vino. Ranch Cookies, Sugar Cookies, Carrot Cake, Coke Jello and her fabulous Date Cake at Christmas!
Armandina is preceded in death by her parents. Brothers, Giovanni and Faustino. Sisters, Elisabetta, Pasquina, Gina and Anita.
Survivors include sons Johnny and wife Kathy, Willie and wife Janis, Jimmy, George and wife Vickie; Grandchildren Tracey Flores, Greg Morrison and wife Nicole, Will Morrison, Amanda Morrison, George Morrison and wife Rhiannon, Paula (Morrison) Garcia and husband Daniel, Joseph Morrison, Luke and wife Dalila Morrison, John Lee Morrison and James Roy Morrison, as well as 18 great-grandchildren.
The Morrison family extends their gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Memorial City Health and Rehabilitation Center for their patience, guidance, and the loving assistance they extended to our mother. The family will receive friends, Friday, December 19, 2014, 5pm - 8pm at Heights Funeral Home. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday, 8:45am at Heights Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
