Arthur Lane Pfeffer, born July 15, 1925, passed away at age 94, Sunday, March 1, 2020. Born in Bellville, Texas, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Arthur is survived by his son, Arthur Lane Pfeffer, Jr. (Sonny) and wife Kathryn; daughters, Carol Patterson and husband David, and Diane Craig and husband Joe; grandchildren, Robert Pfeffer, Holly Burton and husband Larry, Kim Nygren and husband Dave, Wes Craig and wife Lauren, and Brian Patterson; great grandchildren, Aidan Wilson, Alyssa Nygren, Ashlyn Burton, Luke Burton, Joe Craig, and Danica Pfeffer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Bettie Pfeffer; parents, Herbert and Cecelia Pfeffer; and brothers, Robert Pfeffer, Herbert Pfeffer, Jr., and Winston Pfeffer.
Arthur enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II with active participation in both the European and Pacific theaters - a member of our "Greatest Generation". He later served family, friends and clients in the insurance business for many years, but his greatest adventure was on the golf course, as a left-handed golfer with his "hole in one" ball as proof of his talent. Arthur was devoted to all of us, and as he said many times "happy to have a good family".
Our family would like to recognize Karen Cadoree for the more than five years of loving care and companionship she provided both dad and mom. They loved her as one of their own. We would also like to extend an extra special thanks to Candace Brigance and her staff at Serenity's Haven Assisted Living for the outstanding, around the clock care and nurturing given dad over the past 21 months, as well as, Uncle Robert and Joe's parents who preceded him. We were doubly blessed by these two individuals.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service/Reception will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 7, 2020 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home 13102 North Freeway Houston Texas 77060. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Serenity's Haven Assisted Living, Inc., 8727 Seber Lane, Tomball TX 77375
