

Barbara (Penny) Morgan, age 62, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011 after a two year struggle with pancreatic cancer. A genuinely caring person, she was surrounded by loving daughters, son-in-law, four grandchildren and husband of forty-two years. Penny was preceded in death by her father, Wayne C. Hull.
A native Houstonian, she attended Travis elementary, Hogg Jr. high and Reagan high schools. Penny graduated from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor degree in accounting. During this time, she married in 1968. She continued her studies while working at Dr. Pepper and then entered the accounting field at Pennzoil and later continued her career in systems management at Hewlett Packard. Penny was a loving wife and mother to her children and grandchildren. She exhibited a talent for home design, gardening and enjoyed her work in the residential real estate arena.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dannie; daughter, Sheila Lakin & son-in-law Greg; daughter, Ginger Wood; mother, Thelma Hull; grandchildren, Graham Lakin, Wesley Wood, Morgan Lakin and Hannah Lakin; best friend, Betsy Kirk Winters; siblings, Margaret Penny & brother-in-law Fred, Wayne M. Hull & sister-in-law Gail, Charly Kronberger & brother-in-law Paul, William Hull & sister-in-law Deborah and Sylvia Swerdon & brother-in-law Bob. Family and friends will gather at Forest Park Lawndale on Thursday, August 4th at 5:00 P.M. for reflections of her beautiful presence in each of our lives. Chapel and graveside services will follow on Friday, August 5th at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Park Funeral Home Chapel at 6900 Lawndale Ave. in Houston Texas.
