Barbara Barbay Tierney, 95, gracefully joined our Heavenly Father on September 11, 2022. Born in New Orleans, LA in 1926, her family moved to Houston, TX in the late 1920's. In 1946 she graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Houston and remained a registered nurse until her retirement.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Charles T. Tierney, parents Paul and Clara Barbay and sister Patricia (Patsy) Timme. She is survived by her brother David Barbay; son Tom Tierney and wife Diana; daughters Debbie Martin and husband Marty; Karen Rea and husband Jay; Mimi Rodriguez and husband Ernie; 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a devout Catholic and a founding member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Houston, TX. She loved spending time with family and enjoyed traveling, reading and watching sports.
The family will hold a private memorial service and burial.
