

Although we mourn our loss we celebrate the victory that has been won for Bernice, and all of us, through our Lord Jesus Christ!
She was born December 19,1926 in Burton, Texas, to Ernest Bayer and Alvina Schulz Bayer. She was baptized on April 3,1927 and confirmed on September 22,1940 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rehburg, Texas. Her confirmation verse was Psalm 37:5 “Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.”
She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Houston. Bernice worked as a nurse for many years for Memorial Hospital Northwest.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Alvina Bayer; husband Edwin Henry Boessling Sr. and husband Grady Joe Guinn; her sister Lorena Arndt; her brothers, Erwin Bayer, Virgil Bayer and Raymond Bayer; her son-in-law Michael Jack; and great grandson Joshua White.
Bernice is survived by her daughter Janice Jack of Goodyear Arizona; her son Edwin and Judith Boessling Jr of Houston; her grandchildren Allen Jack, Sheryl and Matthew White, Jordan and Kristen Boessling, Jacob and Nicolette Boessling; her great grandchildren Rebecca White, Francesca Boessling, Penelope Boessling, and Benjamin Boessling; as well as nieces and nephews, friends and special friend Linda Brown.
As Bernice was a life long blood donor donating over 2 gallons in her lifetime, please consider donating blood giving the gift of life in her honor.

A visitation for Bernice will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008. A graveside service will occur Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
