Betty Fairchild, age 82 passed away on Tuesday July 10, 2018. Betty was born June 30, 1936 in Desert, Texas. Betty and Roy were married October 7, 1954. They raised two daughters in a small bungalow in the Heights and lived their happily for 45 years. After the girls started school, Betty worked at Heights Hospital and later became a computer assembler for Texas Instruments until retirement. Her retirement years were spent enjoying life with her circle of friends, playing bingo, traveling and enjoying her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Roy Fairchild. Betty is survived by her daughters, Virginia Kindron and Connie Reed; sister Patricia Doyle and brother L.R. Kemp; grandchildren; Alison Galt, Leslie Ontiveros, Mallory Kindron and Jay Reed. A visitation for Betty will be held Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Heights Funeral Home, A funeral service will occur Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM, at Heights Funeral Home. A committal service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, Texas 77055.
