On September 20, 1932 a baby boy was born to Mable Gilliam (later Mason) and Henry Baker in Houston, Texas. His name was Bobby B. Baker. At an early age, he accepted our Lord and Savior and joined the church choir. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and went on to join the U.S. Army. Soon after, he was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 24 years. He married Nettie Johnson and had three beautiful girls. Bobby was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceeded in death by his wife Nettie Baker, parents; Henry Baker and Mable Mason, grandson; Harold Latson Jr. and brothe Ernest Mason, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Patricia Baker, Debra Baker and Barbara Baker-Latson, five grandchildren; Monique Washington (Sammie), Russell Baker, Rodney Latson (Lakesha), Rhnee Baker and Shay Thomas, nine great grandchildren, two sisters Ernestine M. Mason and Vema Goff (joe), brother Arthur Mason (Valeria), nephew Arthur Mason, very devoted friends Lenilds Woods and Mary Frazier and a host of relatives and friends.
