Carole P. Driver

Carole Pyle Driver, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 1, 2025 in Houston, Texas. Born on December 20, 1945, in Birmingham, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Richard Pyle and Betty Sue McNutt Moore.

Carole graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1964 and then attended Jacksonville State University. She became certified as a professional secretary in 1981. Carole’s most memorable time working was as an executive assistant to the managing partner at BDO Seidman from 1978-1988; an assistant corporate secretary for Landmark Graphics Corp. from 1989-1996; and as an assistant secretary and legal administrator for Transocean from 1997 to 2012 when she retired. Carole became an active member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in the late 1970’s where she volunteered throughout her life as well as gave her time to Memorial Assistance Ministries. Carole served in various positions, including president, on the board of her townhome community’s Homeowners Association.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Wayne and her daughter Teresa. She is survived by her son Stephen, his wife Marci and grandchildren Caleb and Alaina Driver of Katy, Texas. Three sisters, Janice Bird and her husband Terry of The Woodlands, Texas, Jean Taylor of Vestavia, Alabama and Susan Bertrand of King City, Oregon. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Carole loved spending time with family and close friends, completing crossword puzzles, playing card games, and playing her favorite board game Scrabble. She was an avid reader, movie watcher, volunteer, and practiced her strong faith. She was a steady and strong figure and role model for all who relied on her.
