Carrie Sue Jenkins Chow was born on November 27, 1961 in Houston, Texas and passed away on March 6, 2019 in Houston, Texas. She was a mother, daughter, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jenny Sue Jenkins. She is survived by her father, James Jenkins; daughter, Carla Chow; sister, Julie Rankin and her husband David Rankin; sister, Tracey Gergen and her husband Matthew Gergen; brother, Christopher Jenkins; niece, Bailey Jacobs, her husband Jordan Jacobs, and their daughter Nora; niece, Kristin Gergen; nephews, Dustin Rankin, Steven Gergen, and Tanner Rankin; former husband, David Chow; and her fur baby, Louis. She dedicated her life to her family and the medical field. She had one daughter whom she loved dearly and was very proud of for also going into the medical field. Carrie grew up in the Heights area of Houston and attended school at Christ the King and St. Agnes Academy. She earned a bachelor’s degree at University of Houston Downtown. She had 5 degrees, with her highest degree being a Doctor of Chiropractic. She graduated Cum Laude from Texas Chiropractic College. She was a world traveler, and especially loved going to South America, Europe, and the Middle East. She loved animals, especially her miniature poodle, Louis. She enjoyed listening to the blues and going to the beach in Surfside. She lived most of her life in the Meyerland area. She was a physical therapy assistant and chiropractor. She had her own chiropractic and rehabilitation clinic until health issues forced semi-retirement. She enjoyed spending her time watching horror movies, black and white movies, and westerns. She loved to sit and laugh with friends and family while drinking coffee. She was greatly loved by her family, friends, and fur baby Louis. She wishes for her ashes to be scattered along the Aegean Sea in Plakias, Crete, Greece at a future date. Her memorial will be held at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008, on Tuesday, March 12th from 4-7pm with a celebration of her life beginning at 5:30pm.
