Catherine L. Medina

Entered in to peaceful rest surrounded by family November 5, 2010.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Tony H. Medina. She was the beloved mother of four children, Tony & wife Golda Medina, Louis & wife Margie Medina, Eva Marie Uribe, and John & wife Faith Medina. She was also survived by sisters Nellie Guerra & husband Ernesto, and sister Theresa Duran. Catherine was blessed with ten grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. As an administrator in the rehabilitation field she was employed by TIRR for forty-seven years. As a devout catholic she was a parish member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Sugarland, Texas. She was passionate about the annual trips she took with her family, her collection of rosaries, and her collection of angels. Her legacy is, and always will be her smile, joy, compassion, kindness and the laughter she shared with so many. As we reflect on the memory of that joy and laughter we will continue to be inspired by the way she lived her life. All who knew her will feel her passing, and each of us is the better for having known her. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to her caregiver Clara Miller. Thank you to Rick & Maree Allen, and Griselda Landry for their transportation support during her illness. Her Celebration of Life will begin with visitation followed by a rosary scheduled for Monday evening November 8, 2010 in the chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by the rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday morning November 9, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Angels, followed by interment at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
