

Charlie H. Reddick was born October 10, 1920 in Houston, TX. He was the son of the late Leroy and Mary (Galney) Reddick. His siblings included Clifford Arthur “Kippy”, Dorothy, Johnny Fae, Lula May, Wilbur Raymond “Bill”, Gus William, “GW”.
On May 18, 1942 Charlie married his sweetheart Marian McFadden. Together they had 3 children: Rose Mary, Charles “Bud” and Glenn.
Charlie grew up in Houston, Texas. He loved to tell his loved ones about his time growing up: the Great Depression, working at an early age at Civilian Conservation Course to help out his family, and how proud he was of everyone. He was a master at story telling.
On July 9, 1940 Charlie joined the United States Marine Corps as an Engineer Equipment Operator. He participated in the South Pacific Area from Oct 28, 1941 to May 13, 1942 and from July 18, 1942 to Jun 19, 1944.
He participated in action against the enemy at Pearl Harbor Dec 7, 1941; at Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands from Jan 31, 1944 to Feb 7, 1944; and at Eniwetok Atoll Marshall Islands from Feb 17, 1944 to Feb 22, 1944.
His time as a Marine took Charlie around the world. He was Honorably Discharged in November 1945 at Klamath Falls, Oregon. He came home to Houston to continue his life with his beautiful wife and kids. After his time in the service, he worked as a cement finisher. He was also a Mason and Shriner, of which he was very proud.
On his free time in his later years, he enjoyed taking his dog to the park, visiting his dear brother Kippy and enjoying a good conversation with his family and loved ones with a cup of coffee.
He is survived by his daughter, Rose Mary, brother, Kippy, sister, Johnny Fae, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Marian, his sons, Bud and Glenn, his parents, and his brothers and sisters: Bill, Dorothy, Lula May, and GW.
Honorary pallbearers are: Victor Alvites, Charles “Raymond” Reddick, Nathan Reddick, Juan Sevilla, Anthony Alvites, Cody Deiss, Tristan Reddick and Travis Reddick.
