Charlotte Gutierrez, 91, peacefully passed away on the morning of Friday, September 1, 2017 surrounded by her loving children. She is now with her beloved husband, Rudolph Gutierrez Sr., and her two beloved sons Ronald and Roy Gutierrez, who preceded her to the eternal life.
She was born on April 18, 1926 in Houston, Texas and is survived by her sons Rudolph Gutierrez Jr., Richard Gutierrez, Robert Gutierrez, Ray Gutierrez and daughters Delores Garza, Elizabeth Castro-Vega, their beloved spouses, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. She was raised in Houston’s historic 2nd Ward and after WWII she married Rudolph and moved to Houston’s west end Cottage Grove. Living in their family home for 69 years, she and her husband raised their 8 children and opened their home to many family members and friends throughout the years. She will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be held from 4 -7pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Funeral services will be September 7, 2017 with viewing at 11am and service at 1pm. Visitation and Funeral Services will be at Forest Park Lawndale in The Chapel of Angels.
