LETTERS TO CLYDE
Dear Clyde:
Thank you for walking through life with me for the last 35 years; this November would’ve been 36 years. We shared life & dreams, joys & sorrows, shared responsibilities & decisions. Some people are motivational speakers but you Clyde motivated me by your daily walk; words were not needed. There’s so many positive life lessons you instilled in me. In Genesis 2:18 when God said “It is not good that man should be alone, I will make him an help meet”, you were mine.
Everlasting love,
Helen

Letter From Cheryl:
I am at a loss for words and still can't believe that your gone...
For me, each day that I wake up I realize that both my parents are no longer present. Being absent from the Flesh leaves me 💔. Clyde (Father), over the years we have grown so close that we built this amazing father & daughter bond. It was like Heaven during our video chats, just being silly and talking "Smack" to each other. I most of all want to say Thank You for always willing to come together on all of our video calls. Especially when I'm going though my health issues and you had the church lady to call/pray for me while I was in the hospital I fussed with you because it seemed as though she talked forever. I told you I put the phone down, At the same time, you were laughing at me... What I will miss the most is your laughter. You saying my name and holding the erylllllll in it. (Clyde's lines) "come on baby now" or "Cheryl you sure curse a lot girl" with the "giggle" behind it."Cheryl it took you long enough" time - "quit playing Cheryl" "Cheryl you know you crazy Girl" "still waiting for that call back" or "I'm still holding on laughing"...
The special way we would say I love you we chose (GREENBEAN). I'll miss that.
I thank God for your nurse Jason for allowing me to speak to you, during your last days. Although you couldn't speak or respond you were able to still hear me say (GREENBEAN) to you one last time. Jason said "he's trying to open his eyes." I knew it was a reflex, but to me it was a sign from God letting me know you heard me... I was pleased to hear Jason say those words over the phone.
Now and always you will forever be my Phenomenal Man. Rest Easy Father!!!
Hello Father :),
The first man I’ve ever loved and never stopped loving. Thank you for all the lessons, laughs, talks, advice, and love you’ve given me over the years. Most of all, thank you for always being here for me and the kids. There was never a time you didn’t show up when I needed you. There was never a time you didn’t answer when I called. You were an amazing father and grandfather, and I am going to miss you so much. I’m beyond grateful for the times we were able to spend together. There will never be another you. You lived a great life and now it’s time to get your rest. I love you, the kids love you, and we will miss you dearly. Goodbye Father.
Your Daughter,
Clydesley Starr Sheppard
